This month we cover one of the most important skills for a game designer: how to prototype and iterate on your game ideas! We discuss tips for getting something playable at fast as possible, how to run effective playtests, and why killing your darlings doesn't have to be painful, before capping things off by sharing some of the best tools for tracking your game's development.

Hey all, you all talked about downloading code and using that to prototype a game. But how would you go about doing this. I have some understanding about code and variable because I had to learn it in school for Game Dev but it never really clicked and I'm still terrible at programming. So if you have code downloaded from say 5 different people how would you go about piecing that together or adding what is missing for non-programmers? Also how would you know what kind of code would be right for your needs or making sure it is all there for what you need?

    Thank you,
    Chris
